-
With "Navizon Alerts" you
can create a circle anywhere on the map, and set it to trigger a
certain action whenever you or a buddy of yours enters or exits
the area.
-
With this feature you can be
notified when your kids get to or leave school, when your
husband or wife leaves the office, or any other clever idea you
can think of.

-
To set up
alerts, just click on the Alerts tab in the Members Section, and
click “Create Alerts”
-
If you want to
be notified by Email, then you simply enter the desired address
in the provided box. To be notified via Text Message, see
Sending Alerts as Text Messages.
-
For Navizon
Alerts to work, you must be "Visible" to Navizon. To make
sure this setting is on, see Changing
your Visibility.
Note: To set up alerts for when you enter or exit an
area, you must first add yourself as a buddy.

-
Some people may
not be aware, but most wireless carriers offer what is known as
an Email to SMS gateway. What that means is that your
phone number can function like an email address, all you need is
the suffix. (ie the stuff after the @ symbol).
-
If you know your
carrier's gateway, you can simply enter your ten digit number
followed by the gateway into the box for the email address you
want to send your alert to.
-
For example, the Email to SMS gateway for Verizon
Wireless is: YourTenDigitNumber@vtext.com. So if your
number is (555)-123-4567, you would enter 5551234567@vtext.com
as the email address you want to send your alert to.
Note: Messages sent this way arrive on your phone as standard
text messages, so there may be a character limit for your message.
And standard text messaging rates will apply for your device to
receive text messages.
