Miami, January 21 2010
Navizon Inc., a global positioning software development company announced a 50
percent increase in its Rewards Program payout, effective January 25, 2010. The
payout, which previously was $10 for every 10,000 points, will now increase to
$15.
Navizon is a software-only wireless positioning system that
triangulates signals broadcasted from Wi-Fi access points and Cellular towers
to help the users find their way in most major metropolitan areas worldwide.
The Navizon rewards program is simple. When running the free Navizon app with a
GPS-enabled device, every Wi-Fi access point and cell tower that the user
passes is logged and turned into points credited to the account. Once a user has
accumulated 10,000 points, they can redeem them for $15 paid directly to a
Paypal account. To download the app visit Navizon.
There are currently more than 1 million registered users in the Navizon
community contributing Wi-Fi and cellular tower locations all around the world.
Navizon users earn Reward Points for each wireless access point or cell tower
mapped with the system, which can be redeemed for cash
Reward Points are awarded as follows for the first person to map a new cellular
tower or Wi-Fi access point:
Points are awarded as follows for previously mapped data points:
"The Navizon rewards program is our way of giving something back to our
community of users who are helping us build one of the world's largest database
of wireless access points and cell towers. We have Navizon users ranging from
truck drivers, cab drivers and even commuters making anywhere from $15-$100 per
week depending on their driving habits," said Cyril Houri, CEO, Navizon Inc.
The Navizon software does all the work for you; all you have to do is have your
phone on and Navizon running on it, added Houri.
