There are a few ways that
you can include the Navizon Positioning System in
your own application. We are committed to making Navizon
work for you no matter what you are looking for. To that
end,
we are please to offer a number of solutions that
will hopefully allow you to effectively utilize the
Navizon Position System in your own application.

-
The Client-Side SDK
is a library that you can include in your own
application. The SDK is our simplest solution, and
will allow you to implement the Navizon
Positioning System into your own application quickly
and easily. The
SDK allows you to call a simple function from
the
SDK Library that will collect the wireless
information surrounding the user, and turn that
information into a geographic location which is then
relayed to your application to use any way you see
fit.
-
The SDK allows
you to choose between
Wi-Fi and Cellular based positioning,
or to incorporate both for optimal positioning
coverage and accuracy.
-
The Client-Side SDK
is available for Windows Mobile and Blackberry. To begin
using the SDK,
please contact us to obtain your evaluation license key. Once you have your license key, you can download the SDK here.

Navimote is an on-demand location system based on push technology
-
This product allows you to develop Location Based Applications on mobile devices without writing a single
line of code on the mobile device. All you need to do is to install Navimote on
the mobile, have the user enter an authorization code (or token) and that's it!
You can now get the location of the mobile device just by calling a URL.
With Navimote, you can query the location from the device only when you need it, saving the battery the rest of the time.
-

This option is for
developers who already have a system that can
acquire the wireless information surrounding the
device (Cell-ID and/or WiFi Mac address), but still need a global database of Cell towers or WiFi access points to obtain its geographic location.
-
The Web Service API gives you full
access to the Navizon server engine and can be accessed directly from within your own
application or on a server-to-server basis. While we are supremely confident in the
ability of our application and SDK, some
developers would rather have their own application
acquire the wireless beacons' information
and send it to the Navizon server to receive the geographic location in return.
-
For developers
interested in the Web-Service API your
application must acquire the Cell-IDs and/or WIFi MAC
addresses surrounding the device, and then send that
information via an HTTP query to the Navizon central
server. The Navizon server will then calculate the user's location by comparing this information against our global database of Cell-IDs and WiFi mac addresses.
The results returned are typically Lattitude, Longitude, and radius of confidence.

-
Our most advanced solution is the
Enterprise Solution. It is similar to the Web Service API, only that you have the entire server system (including the database engine) running on your own servers. This gives you full administrative control of the location determination process from start to finish.
-
With the Enterprise Server, all the location lookups happen locally. It operates in a way that is totally independent of the
Navizon Central Server, so you can enjoy optimal
response time (8ms per lookup) in addition to
complete administrative power and 100% uptime.
(as long as your own server as a 100% uptime)
-
The way it works is similar to the WebService API: you submit the Cellular and/or WiFi information to the Enterprise Server via an HTTP query and receive the geographic location back (Latitude, Longitude, radius of confidence). The only difference is that with this solution, the triangulation calculations happen locally, without any latency between your facility and the Navizon central server.
The database is hosted within the Enterprise Server and is refreshed on a regular basis (from 1 to 5 days depending on your needs). The database updates happen in the background and you will not experience any downtime during this process.
