  • Navizon uses Cellular and Wi-Fi* triangulation to identify the geographic location of your device, offering you outstanding accuracy without the use of GPS. (Works great in urban areas, even where GPS wont).

  • Your location will be determined, without a GPS (Software Only GPS!).

  • And of course, you will still benefit from all Navizon's features.

Navizon can locate you with either your onboard or attached GPS, or with our Virtual GPS if your phone is not GPS equipped:

Navizon is a positioning system that works by triangulating signals form Wi-Fi* and Cellular towers (GSM and CDMA).

It calculates the location of a wireless device by using several triangulation algorithms and a database of known access points.

In other words, it uses Wi-Fi* and Cellular signals as opposed to the satellite signals used for traditional GPS.

Click to enlargeSimple, users who utilize Navizon with a GPS enabled device map the wireless landscape wherever they use Navizon.

That data is then automatically shared with the rest of the community.

Users who don’t have a GPS enabled device can still use Navizon, because the virtual positioning system can still locate them, just like a GPS would.

Users who have a GPS enabled device can earn rewards and convert them into cash, all while enjoying all the fun features of Navizon.

In order for Navizon to Work without a GPS enabled device, your area needs to be covered by the Navizon database. (To see how well your area is covered, check out or coverage map).

Once you hit "Start", you should see the Phone light or the Wi-Fi light blinking. This means that Navizon has found your position thanks to Wi-Fi and cellular positioning.

  • IIf no position is obtained it most likely means that no one has mapped your area yet or that you are standing in a place where no Wi-Fi or cell towers are visible.

  • You can check the coverage in your area by creating a user profile in the member section and hitting "my coverage" once you are logged in, or by looking at our coverage map/font>
