-Navizon Lite is Free and works with Cellular triangulation
- Navizon (WiFi + Cellular triangulation) if free to try, $24.99 to buy

Navizon Lite uses cellular tower triangulation  to identify the geographic location of your device. Just hit "Start" and your navigating in the real world without a GPS (Software Only GPS!). And of course, you will still benefit from all Navizon's features.

Navizon will let you combine Cellular and WiFi triangulation offering you an accuracy close to a real GPS in an urban or suburban setting.

How does it work.

To use Navizon, you need either a GPS or our Virtual GPS...

So what's the idea?

Navizon is a positioning system that works by triangulating signals form WiFi* and Celullar towers (GSM and CDMA). It calculates the position of a wireless device by using several triangulation algorithms and a database of known access points. In other words, it works a little bit like GPS only that it uses WiFi* and Cellular signals as opposed to satellite signals for traditional GPS.

How do we build this database? Simple: users who use Navizon with a GPS device will map the wireless landscape in their neighborhoods and share their data with the rest of the community.

- users who don’t have a GPS can now have a virtual positioning system that lets them find their way, just like a GPS would do.

- users who have a GPS can earn rewards and convert them into cash while enjoying all the fun features of Navizon.

"Software Only GPS"

In order for Navizon to Work without a GPS, your area needs to be covered by the Navizon data base.
Once you hit "Start", you should see the Phone light or the Wi-Fi light blinking . This means that Navizon has found your position thanks to the Wi-Fi
* and cellular positioning.
If no lights are blinking it most likely means that no one has mapped your area yet or that you are standing in a place where no Wi-Fi or cell towers are visible.
You can check the coverage in your area by creating a user profile in the member section and hitting "my coverage" once you are logged in.

If you're still not sure if it works, you can always try it: it's free!

* WiFi Positioning available with the Full version (free to try, $24.99 to buy).
