Mexens Technology Announces Availability of Navizon API

Navizon's popular wireless positioning engine now available for developers

NEW YORK, April 3 -- Mexens Technology announced today the release of the Application Programming Interface (API) of the Navizon (http://www.navizon.com ) software. The API will make available the positioning engine behind Navizon, allowing other applications to make use of its dynamic geo-positioning network.

The innovative Navizon API works by triangulating signal measurements from cellular towers and Wi-Fi access points. Once a map of the wireless landscape for a certain area has been created with a GPS device, the Navizon API uses this data to offer a software-only positioning system for wireless devices, completely independent of carriers.

"The Navizon API will make our dynamic positioning engine available for other applications," said Cyril Houri, founder of Mexens Technology. "This API will work as a virtual GPS for software developers that would like to take advantage of the information compiled within the Navizon network to make their mobile applications geo-aware."

In addition, Navizon adds revolutionary new features that allow members groundbreaking new ways of sharing information. These include the Tracker and Geotag.

-- The Tracker allows members within a group to share their location with
other group members on an opt-in basis. This feature has been extremely
popular for businesses who want to track assets such as vehicles.

-- The Geotag allows members to post any information based upon a specific
geographic location. When other members will drive or walk nearby, they
will be notified of this post and the information it contains.

"Navizon has become a fantastic tool," said Houri. "This API will allow other software makers the opportunity to take advantage of our dynamic positioning system for their own applications."
