Download and install Navizon.
REQUIREMENTS
-- a Symbian OS Cellular phone (S60 2nd edition).
a GPS device or the Virtual GPS.

An internet connection on your Phone is recommended.
 

1. Create an account on http://my.navizon.com/UserAdmin/register.aspx
 Enter your information and hit Register.


2. Download Navizon

  • go to the download page , if you don't have a GPS device, you must download Navizon Virtual GPS (version with the software only GPS integrated)

  • don't forget to agree with the license agreement, and the download button.

Follow the instructions, and Navizon will be downloaded on your PC (navizon_sis.zip).


3. Install Navizon

  • Extract the 'Navizon.sis' file from the Navizon_sis.zip using Winzip, Winrar or Win XP zip utility.

  • Double click the Navizon.sis file, follow the instructions, and your Phone connectivity program (like Nokia PC Suite) uploads Navizon on your phone. (The phone utility program must be installed before double-click on navizon.sis.)

  • The Installation process continues on the Phone.

Select the memory where you want
Navizon will be installed to.

Plase wait during installation.

Navizon is now correctly installed.


4.If you  use the virtual GPS skip this step.
 
Install your GPS device as follow:

  • Turn on your GPS device.
  • On your Phone, go to Connect > Bluetooth

  • In the main menu, if the bluetooth is off, turn it on, then  click right soft-key to see the paired devices

  • Click soft-key Options > New paired device, and then your mobile will search Bluetooth devices around you.

  • The GPS should appear, select it, enter the passkey "0000" and hit OK.

  • The phone connects the GPS and complete the pairing.

  • Hit Yes in order to authorise the device to make automatic connections.


5. Launch Navizon

  •  On the Phone Menu select and hit the Navizon Icon.

  • Navizon starts and displays the main screen.

  • In Options > Settings, enter your Username and Password




Hit OK.

Hit Yes.

  • Navizon connects to the server

  • Select your Internet access point. Hit Cancel if you want to work off-line.



  • Navizon connects to the server and displays the Authentication result


6.If you  use the virtual GPS skip this step.
 
Install your GPS device as follow:

  • Turn on your GPS device.
  • On Navizon hit Options > Setup GPS.



  • Choose your device and hit Select.



  • Navizon starts the connection to the GPS.




7.Activate product key (needed only if you want to use Navizon without a Bluetooth GPS).

  • Hit Options > Register..



  • Enter your product key you received via email and hit OK..




8.Navizon main screen.



On the main screen are present the following information:

  1. Your position, latitude longitude (Invalid if not availabe).
  2. Date and time (from your phone, not from GPS)
  3. Version installed on your phone, and the type of license (Free, Eval, Premium).
  4. Satellites in View and Fix type (GPS, Cell TW or Invalid).
  5. Network Status (Data Connection GSM/GPRS) (Connecting, Connected, Failure).
  6. ID of the Cellular Tower currently connected and the related signal.
  7. Speed in knots (ks) and km/h. (Available using a GPS only)
  8. Direction in degree from the North, and the Cell Towers discovered in the current Session.
  9. Status Bar, Here are displayed information about the Navizon status


9.Navizon Evaluation of the Premium version.

If Navizon is unable to connect to a GPS, after few seconds asks for the activation of the Trial period
Hit OK if you want to start the Trial, hit Cancel if you want to use a GPS



If you start the Trial you see on the main Screen the 'Eval' label in the Version line


10.Navizon Settings.

Hit Options > Settings.



Here you can insert your Username / Password.



AutoSync (0=Disabled, 1=Enabled) this option Enable/Disable the automatic synchronozation with the remote server. You can manually synchronize Navizon hitting Options > sync from the main screen.



LocationCheckFrequency (Seconds) This is the location check frequency for the Virtual GPS. (0=Disabled)

TrackerFrequency (Seconds) This is the update rate of your position on the server. (0=Disabled)

GeoTagSensitivity (Meters) This is the distance within with Navizon displays an alert for the GeoTags. (0=Disabled)


11.MGMaps Integration.

Hit Options > Launch MGMaps.



If you have MGMaps installed, Navizon starts the application. If it is not, Navizon opens MGMaps download page on your phone browser.
After MGMaps is started, it connects to Navizon and get your position.



Hit Options > 6 (GPS), to open the GPS menu. Next hit Where Am I and MGMaps displays your position on the Map.
